218 155-0 at SSM Hamm Rbf Lower Yard 2013 06 01

            218 155-0: Built by Krauss-Maffei at München-Allach (Works No. 19531) and delivered new to Hagen-Eckesey om 29/11/1971. Ironically it is sitting next to 218 156-8 which was next off the production line and delivered to the same depot 3 weeks later 😊

While both 155 and 156 were allocated to Ulm in 1997, after that they split up. 

156 stayed at Ulm, but 155 was a nomad after this, being allocated to:
Regensburg
Darmstadt
Niebüll
Darmstadt (again)
Frankfurt (Main) Griesheim

Its last DB overhaul was 2001 and it was stored 3 days before the last Verl extension ran out (Bremen Works overhaul: REV IS703 29/03/2018, Frankfurt Griesheim 2nd Verl 06/11/2009 and stored Z on 03/11/2009).

Like most of the surviving 215s, it ended up at SSM Hamm for storage.

Unlike some of its classmates that were robbed too much for parts, it was assessed and bought on 17/08/2017 by NESA - NeSA Eisenbahn-Betriebsgesellschaft Neckar-Schwarzwald-Alb GmbH, Rottweil.

They arranged for it to have another overhaul at AW Bremen which was completed on 29/03/2018 and after 8 and ½ years, it was reactivated for main line use. 😊
