Hollybush Worcestershire - a photo on Flickriver

Church of All Saints, Hollybush, Worcestershire - built on an acre of common land given by the Ecclesiastical Commissioners as a chapel of ease to Castlemorton , funded by subscription to provide a church for workers in the quarries in the area, and dedicated November 3rd 1869.
It was built by Smart of Malvern Wells on a limited budget (an estimate of £500) with local stone donated by Earl Somers carried to the site by local farmers. It was designed by Frederick Preedy
The great majority of the original fittings survive the east window funded by Mary Selwyn and her aunt the Countess of Beauchamp, being also designed and made by Preedy. www.flickr.com/gp/52219527@N00/1WDjjs
At the time the Worcester Journal described the church as having the eastern window by Preedy at its benediction, as well as the piscina with a carved lip www.flickr.com/gp/52219527@N00/17E2zJ . The reredos had not been fitted however, as there was a crimson cloth above the altar.
The chapel became a parish church in 1912 and In 1929 a further bay was added to the east end of the chancel by Nicholson & Clarke of Hereford. , extending the length by seven feet, but wholly in keeping with the earlier building, and using much of the earlier material. The c1884 vestry was also extended at this time and the previously installed reredos www.flickr.com/gp/52219527@N00/1w3V8f and piscina were both referred to as suitable for refitting once construction had been completed.
