Con l’arrivo dell’estate il fenomeno dell’abbandono degli animali domestici arriva all’apice.
Abbandonare un cane o un gatto domestico significa nella maggior parte dei casi condannarli a morte. Un gatto abituato a stare in famiglia se lasciato a sè stesso spesso non è in grado di sfamarsi e di trovare acqua; nella maggior parte dei casi sopravvivrà pochi giorni per la paura, le strade con le macchine e la scarsità di cibo.
Negli ultimi anni sono aumentate le associazioni che si adoperano per raccogliere dalla strada questi animali contrastando il fenomeno del randagismo e cercando di dare loro una possibilità di vita.
