La stella di Natale..

            La Stella di Natale era coltivata già da Indios e Aztechi per cui era un fiore simbolo di purezza il cui colore rosso intenso riportava alle gocce di sangue di una dea morta per amore.

Ma un’altra è la leggenda messicana più famosa che avvolge la pianta: si dice infatti che molti secoli fa, durante la notte di Natale, in chiesa, una bambina molto povera desiderava mostrare a Gesù il proprio amore, ma non aveva i mezzi per farlo. Una voce però le suggerì di uscire e di raccogliere un fascio di sterpi e erbe che, depositate sull’altare, si trasformarono in meravigliose stelline rosse.
