A Gullery of Gulls

Gullery is an actual term for a gathering of gulls. It is also an old term for trickery. Gulls are smart and resourceful, and they are carnivores by preference. When useful, they practice gullery in connection with obtaining food: They have been seen placing bits of bread on pond waters to attract goldfish!

I think of gulls as an equally smart, but water-going analog of crows. Like crows, gulls are also long lived--often reaching age 20 or even much more. The WP article on gulls is an interesting read:

Location: River Rhine, near the conjunction of the borders of FR, DE and CH. The surrounding area is known in German as "die Dreiländerecke" (the three countries corner).
