Romancing the Stone - a photo on Flickriver

The caption just jumped into my head. It is borrowed from the title of one of my favorite old (1984) comedy-adventure movies:

I thought Mom Nature did a nice job of creating this variegated, semi-abstract image around a lone, partly-emerged stone. My job was mostly just to frame what was there and share it.

BTW1 - As shown, from my camera's POV, the surface reflections interestingly stopped and started quite suddenly at various places, They have the appearance of oily films, but this was not the case.

BTW2 - The water in this stretch of the River Wiese was, to my eyes, amazingly clear on the day I took the photo. This may have been because there had been no rain along its upper course for quite a number of days.

Location: River Wiese at the east edge of the southern reaches of the Black Forest. Baden-Württembrg DE.
