Was the Party a Corker? - a photo on Flickriver

            Happy Macro Monday ! 
Calling something "a corker" is old American slang for saying that it is something special. The expression was often used to describe enjoyable parties after they were over. There is even an old song from my mom's day called "My Gal's a Corker" (She's a New Yorker). 

Mini-mysteries are one of the things I like to photograph. This one made for a nice minimalist macro photo: 
I wonder how and why these two wine corks got placed so carefully on this rusty, cracked barrel cover, just inside a garden which I could look into from a public path. 
Two corks suggest that the owners of the garden containing the corks hosted at least a modest party, on the day before. However, there were no other signs of a party that I could see from outside the garden. Hmm...
