Silver Reflections

            Sometimes, ya just get lucky!

Last night, I set out to shoot the California Zephyr varnish on the rear end of the Southwest Chief in Lawrence, but the results weren't so hot, so I figured that since the train and I were both headed to Topeka, I'd try my luck there as well.  By the time that I got off of I-70 in Topeka, the train was already parked at the station, which meant that I didn't exactly have much time to work, so I carefully drove down 4th St., parked by the tracks, and was graced by the presence of this puddle from the previous night's storms.  The camera's settings were still the same as I had shot in Lawrence, so I propped the camera up, took one shot and let 'er rip! By the time that I was able to finish my next shot, the Silver Solarium was already on its way towards Emporia and, dare I say it, Everywhere West.
