            Eva thought to herself that she had never seen a girl fall down a rabbit hole before so she went over to investigate.  Upon closer inspection it seemed that the hole was either very deep, or as if she might fall rather slowly if she should enter it.  It smelt faintly of a rabbit in a waistcoat with a pocket watch, a girl in a blue dress and hundreds of empty jars of orange marmalade stacked neatly upon shelves.  One might ask how she could discern all of this with just her nose, but she is a Brittany spaniel with an exceptional sense of smell.

In the end she thought that the hole and all of it's strange contents were much less interesting than the warm summer breeze, beautiful evening light, sound of chirping birds, the older Asian gentleman eating a sandwich on a park bench and the pocket full of treats I bring to every photo session.  That and her lead was tied to a tree just to the right of the frame.  

The third of the keeper images from my mini adventure with Nikon's worst lens ever made.  The focus is a little off in this picture (back focused), but it I like the effect it gives - more dream like.  In reality Eva was very insistent on investigating all of the smells in these high grasses, including those emanating from the burrow of what I assume must be Richardson ground squirrels (prairie dogs).  Ground squirrels in waistcoats to be sure.
