Built as a four door, four seat open tourer, this was a modernised version of the WW11 Kubelwagen, looking for all the world like a military scout car. Under the skin it is mainly standard VW Beetle mechanics, updated with McPherson front struts from 1970, with coil spring rear end from 1973. Origianlly introduced with a 1493cc engine updated to 1584cc in 1974
