Launched in 1953 as a completely new design. Its side rails were built from a pair of stacked chromoloy tubes reiinforced with steel plates, With a 100 inch wheelbase it was both lighter and stronger than earlier Allards with an aluminum envelope body and had a bench seat capable of holding three abreast. Engine options were listed as British Ford, American Mercury, Cadillac, and Chrysler. Curb weight was 2580 lb. The car was offered at $ 5300 two and a half times the price J2, most were exported to the USA but with only 63 sales it was not a commercial sucess .
