Happy 90 th.. Anniversary Non stop run from Denver to Chicago. 5/26/34 .

             The Pioneer Zephyr ran it's 1,000th mile record breaking non-stop between Denver, Colorado to the Chicago World Fair on May 26,1934.  Total fuel cost was $14.64 for the entire trip.  Who would think the U505-Sub would stay on the surface and the Pioneer  Zephyr would take a dive.
I would like to dedicate this photo to the great Bulington Route  historian The Late Ed.DeRouin.
