Silvery Grebes at Tongoy Harbor, Chile.

            Podiceps occipitalis was a life bird at the time. The book said they were rare, but they turned out to be as common as mud! Every shore and surf zone had dozens.

Tongoy, Chile, which is a pretty little fishing village with no other foreigners about. July, 2019.
