Maggio, Preparativi per la festa patronale

            Nei giorni dal 25 al 27 maggio a Larino (CB) si festeggia San Pardo, patrono della città e della Diocesi di Termoli-Larino.
Durante i tre giorni, oltre cento carri addobbati da fiori di carta sfilano per le vie della città, a ricordo dell'arrivo delle spoglie di San Pardo. 
I fiori sono fatti dalle sapienti mani delle donne della famiglia a cui appartiene il carro, e vengono cuciti su delle preziose coperte realizzate all'uncinetto.
La foto mostra un carro che è stato appena addobbato con la coperta,ed è in attesa dei fiori per essere completo.

From the 25th to the 27th of may every year in Larino, a small city in southern Italy, you can assist to the celebrations in honour of the patron saint, Pardo.
More the one hundred chariots, decorated with paper flowers, parade through the streets and alleys of the city, to remember the arrival of St. Pardo's relics.
Flawers are handmade by the women of the chariot's owners family, and then they are carefully sewn on a crochet blanket.
In this photo you can see the chariot covered by the blanket and waiting for the flowers to be attached.
