HCVS London to Brighton Run 2021 - the year that never was (again!)

            A quartet of photos to mark the day that would have been the 2021 HCVS London to Brighton Run

Rather than dwell on the obvious, it is great news that the HCVS are planning for the Ridgeway Run later this year, and a few other events and steam rallies are also going ahead. 

This photo from the 2019 Run shows P.C. Howard's ERF Sabrina 499PKR, an Ex-Chambers Transport recovery vehicle, now with chassis returned to original length (previously shortened by Chambers). The lorry was new to Finlocks of Tunbridge Wells, transporting concrete gutters. 

In the background is a Land Rover (Series 2/3?) parked beside the old buildings for Volks Electric Railway. It has white paint on the bumper ends, which I think were used during blackout periods to aid visibility.

The right hand building used to house the electrics for the railway and the right hand side is now council-operated for seafront services. 
Dukes Mound was the original exit for Madeira Drive, before it was extended. It's still used as an access road and is a good chance to see Brighton Run entrants power (or indeed crawl) up the hill.
