Paddington Goes Shopping - a photo on Flickriver

            PADDINGTON:  "Oh I do hope that there will be enough room in my shopping jeep..."  *Worried.*

DADDY:  "Paddington darling!  Where are you going?"

PADDINGTON:  "Oh, haven't you heard, Daddy?"

DADDY:  "No.  Heard what, Paddington darling?"

PADDINGTON:  "Oh, there is a sale of marmalade at the grocers in the high street, Daddy!  I thought we were running rather low on marmalade supplies at home, so I thought I'd go and replenish the stock.  I only hope I can fit all the jars I buy in my shopping jeep, Daddy!"

DADDY:  *Contemplates for a moment.*  "But Paddington darling.  How are you going to buy any jars of marmalade?  You don't have any money!"

PADDINGTON:  "Oh!  Don't worry about that Daddy!"  *Waves paw dismissively.  "I telephoned the grocer ahead of time and have arranged to put any and all purchases I make, on your account."

DADDY:  "Oh!"

PADDINGTON:  "Hhhmmm..."  *Thinks.*  "I wonder whether the grocers will do a home delivery service?"

DADDY:  "Home delivery service?"  *Alarmed.*

PADDINGTON:  "Ahem!"  *Clears throat awkwardly.*  "Well, I can't stand here chatting with you all day, Daddy!  I must go.  I don't want to miss out on any delicious marmalade bargains!  Grumbly tummy, Daddy!  Grumbly tummy!"  *Rubs tummy vigorously.*  "Goodbye now Daddy!  See you soon!"

DADDY:  "Goodbye Paddington."  *Puts hand to mouth in concern as to what may arrive home from the grocers shortly.

The theme for "Looking Close on Friday" the 24th of October is "in front of the fence", and here is my Merrythought Classic Paddington on a mission, off shopping with his shopping jeep, walking in front of my side fence, which as you may notice is quite overgrown with jasmine and wisteria vines, as I have a thick hedge of them running the entire length of my property.  Once upon a time the fence supported the jasmine and wisteria - now I think it might be the other way around!  I hope you like my choice for this week's theme, and that it makes you smile!
