Balashiha - the largest city in the Moscow region. The city's population - 412 689 people (2015). Founded in 1830. Balashikha time base is considered to be 1830, when knyaz Troubetzkoy with merchant Pavel Moloshnikovym built on the site of the dam and a small wooden mill factory for the production of cloth. Balashiha - old former center of the textile industry (since the founding of the city). The oldest settlements in the vicinity of the current Balashikha existed since the VII century BC. e. Временем основания Балашихи принято считать 1830 год, когда князь Трубецкой вместе с купцом Павлом Молошниковым построил на месте плотины и мельницы небольшую деревянную фабрику по производству сукна. Балашиха — бывший старинный центр текстильной промышленности (со времени основания города). Древнейшие поселения в окрестностях нынешней Балашихи существовали с VII века до н. э. На это указывают могильники и места жертвоприношений по берегам рек Горенки и Пехорки. С 1960 по 1963 гг, Балашиха входила в состав Москвы.
