Soaring over the Saint Croix - a photo on Flickriver

            Two CN SD60s, the 5416 and 5419, lead train L516 over the engineering marvel know as the Soo Line High Bridge, or Arcola High Bridge.  The bridge stands 184 feet above the river and is 2,682 feet long, with five steel arches towering above the river.  A once busy crossing for the Soo Line, and later Wisconsin Central, it now only see's two trains a day which makes getting shots quite challenging.  Thankfully, they got out a little later this day, and I was able to get some side light on the power.  This picture and angle doesn't do justice for how large and impressive this structure truly is.
