Interlude : Number Thirteen : The Winter Thomas Company Limited : London : nd [c.1935] : page 4

            Number 13 of the "Interlude" booklet that appears to have been issued by the London based advertising agency of Winter Thomas Co. Ltd. The series, of which I have a few, are on various advertising topics discussed in the small four page pamphlet each being distinguished by different card covers.

I can find little out about Winter Thomas but they do appear to have been in business during the inter-war years. I gather they were formed in 1926 but I have no other details. None of the booklets are credited but display some interesting typography and graphic design; obviously intended to impress potential clients. 

This, called Big Man Burke and Shorty Simpson, has some charming illustrations, good typography and is printed on good paper. The decorative stiff card covers have the title panel tipped on.
