Henry Denny & Sons Ltd. : Bacon Curers : Waterford, Ireland : advertising leaflet : nd [c.1935?] : back

            A double sided leaflet issued by the Irish bacon curing company of Henry Denny & Sons Ltd. whose head office was at Morgan Street in Waterford. As well as various other sites across Ireland and Scotland the company had a London based selling agency, E.M. Denny & Co. Ltd., that appears to have been set up by two of the founder's sons, Thomas and Edward in 1870 when the Irish branches passed to the third son, Abraham.

The city of Waterford was home to several major bacon company's and Denny's have a long history in the business, dating back to the founder in around 1820 and the company was at the forefront of curing and marketing of Irish bacon that was for many years a market leader. The company are now part of the Kerry multinational group.

The front of the leaflet shows the carcass of the pig and shows the various cuts of gammon and bacon. Not dated the leaflet has a feel of the 1930s.
