Preserved Woodhead railway footbridge

            The alignment of the Worsborough branch of the former Woodhead railway line runs on the north side of  Worsborough Country Park and is now part of the Transpennine Trail. This railway  footbridge has been preserved to provide a crossing over the trail between the country park and Haverlands Lane. The additional steps at the top are because bridge deck was raised to accommodate the overhead wires when the line was electrified in the early 1950s.
