37 298 at Ebbw Vale Steelworks with the GG 'Gwent Growler' railtour.

            Not the best location for a photo stop ! But good for the track bashers.

37 298 is seen under the road/rail bridge at the south end of Ebbw Vale Steelworks where the BR/BSC track boundary limit was located. The class 37 had hauled the Growler Group's "Gwent Growler" railtour up the valley as the first freight branch of three covered that day in the Welsh Valleys by the tour. It was later to visit Machen and Onllywn as well.
