Il Santuario di Montevecchia - Montevecchia's church

            Il santuario di Montevecchia si trova in Brianza, sul punto più alto (circa 500m slm) della collina su cui si trova il paese omonimo. 
Già nel medioevo esisteva qua una chiesetta, di origine longobarda: nel 1570 però un incendio la distrusse completamente e nel 1630 venne ricostruita, ma con dimensioni ridotte rispetto all’attuale. 
Successivamente tra la fine del 1600 e l’inizio del 1700 la chiesa venne ampliata fino ad arrivare alle dimensioni attuali. 
Dalla chiesa è possibile ammirare un vasto panorama sulla pianura tra Milano e Bergamo.

This church is located in the Northern Italy area called “Brianza”, not far from Milano. 
It lays on a hill at about 500m above sea level. 
A church was existing here since the Longobard Age, but in 1570 a fire destroyed it and only in 1630 it was rebuilt again. 
Later, between end of 1600 and beginning of 1700 it was enlarged till to the actual dimensions. From the church it is possible to see a wide view of the plain between Milano and Bergamo.
