La colonna trasparente - The transparent column

            In questo affresco del castello di Issogne (Aosta) si nota una singolare colonna di cristallo trasparente che lascia intravvedere il paesaggio circostante. L'affresco si trova nella cosiddetta "sala della giustizia", il principale ambiente di rappresentanza del castello ed è databile al XV secolo.

In this fresco from the castle of Issogne (Aosta Valley, Italy) you can see a singular transparent crystal column that allows you to glimpse the surrounding landscape. The fresco is located in the so-called "hall of justice", the main reception room of the castle and can be dated to the 15th century.
