Il Ponte di Rialto - Rialto bridge - a photo on Flickriver

            Il ponte di Rialto è un ponte di Venezia sul Canal Grande: collega i sestieri di San Marco con quello di San Polo ed è un importante punto di raccordo della città stessa. 
Ideato come semplice ponte di barche nel 1170, fu più volte ricostruito, fino alla sua versione attuale del 1591.
È uno dei quattro ponti, insieme al ponte dell'Accademia, al ponte degli Scalzi e al ponte della Costituzione, che attraversano il Canal Grande stesso, all'interno della città: di questi quattro ponti è quello più antico.

The Rialto Bridge is a bridge in Venice on the Grand Canal: it connects the districts of San Marco with that of San Polo and is an important point of connection of the city itself. Designed as a simple bridge of boats in 1170, it was rebuilt several times, until its current version in 1591.
It is one of the four bridges, together with the Accademia bridge, the Scalzi bridge and the Constitution bridge, that cross the Grand Canal itself, inside the city: of these four bridges it is the oldest.
