La chiesa senza il tetto - The church without roof

            Dal castello di Lisbona (Portogallo) si può avere una bella vista sulla città. In questa immagine si vede una chiesa..senza il tetto: si tratta della chiesa del Carmo, eretta verso la fine del 1300 e gravemente danneggiata dal terremoto del 1755.
Venne poi ricostruita in stile neogotico ma i lavori vennero interrotti nel 1834, lasciando appunto la chiesa senza il tetto.

From the castle of Lisbon (Portugal) you can have a nice view of the city. In this image we see a church ... without the roof: it is the Carmo church, erected towards the end of 1300, seriously damaged by the earthquake of 1755.
It was then rebuilt in neo-Gothic style but the works were interrupted in 1834, leaving the church without the roof.
