ana4.0 houses on bluff - a photo on Flickriver

Sioux City is a river town. As such, deep ravines, and steep bluffs cut the city in an irregular way making a real project out of building homes, commercial buildings and streets.

Even so, when I was looking at the houses perched precariously on this largely sand bluff, I had to wonder why these structures were built here. Low or no taxes? Quarrying rights? It’s beyond me.

But the scene makes an interesting picture.
