Blacktron BioSHIP & Cerebral Interface Helmet

            I have to give special thanks to Krystle and Amie for their super #LEGOmasters help, when my lighting was failing me Saturday night. It was a blast to be able to pull this off and wear it while they were in attendance.

I am so excited to share my biggest and most complex MOC yet!

Over 4 feet long, this wearable, lighted MOC is a heavy #cyberpunk piece of #LEGO #Cosplay 

The story goes: We have not heard from Blacktron in a long while. Pinned as the bad guys, they went out to the far reaches of space to research portal technology. We all know how that story goes (Event Horizon, Doom, Stargate...) and eventually they found success, discovering Outer Dimensions and realms filled with Bionicle beasts. These creatures came through the portal and infested the Blacktron research vessel, convincing and coercing their forces into becoming an army for the CCBS Invasion.

They did, however, unlock the key to space-time travel within the Lego Universe. Simply hacking into an AFOL, and using mind control to have them walk you anywhere you want to go. No complex Prismatic equations, no folding the universe, simply hitching a ride on the man upstairs.

This project is the combination of many many years LEGO gathering and planning. Ultimately I built it over the course of two months: 1 during SHIPtember, and last month finishing the 'larval stage' I had left the SHIP in last year.

The UV LEDs I added Saturday night for my first real wearing of the suit. It was truly parasitic, NOT a symbiotic relationship (I can still feel damage in my left arm from the gear-rings, though I have since added some less-than-purist padding, so I could wear it during public hours the next day) 

It was so fun to share and see the reactions to my unusual design. Thanks to all the support from the community, all the brick from Bricks and Minifigs over the years, and the patience and tolerance of my family, I have pushed the limits of LEGO, and earned a wonderful Bionicle trophy, and an honorable mention in Cosplay, as well.
