Another day in paradise - Dawn on Glyder Fach

             It was an early start for me today. I left the car at 5am and got to the summit of Glyder Fach at 6.45 as I was held up by a big old billy goat upon cresting the Gribin ridge.

Oh how I laughed as I came face to face with two glowing green eyes sat beneath a couple of very large horns…actually I didn’t laugh at all, I said several very rude words!

As some of you may know there aren’t many passing places on the ridge so I had to wait until he’d had enough of being blinded by my head-torch. It was ten minutes before he went on his way after a tense standoff.

I was hoping for a temperature inversion, as hinted at in the forecast but it didn’t happen. However, there was some nice vivid light and just being there alone at dawn was a wonderful experience.
