The Winter Solstice - a photo on Flickriver

            It wasn't quite as cold as yesterday - around freezing point, as opposed to -10C yesterday morning - so I decided to venture to Lyme Park in the hope of some late afternoon sun.  The cloud covered the sun, as I arrived but there was still some interesting light and I was able to get a few shots on my short walk to Lyme Cage and back.  It was already -3C, as I left.  No sign of this cold weather ending just yet but at least the days start to get longer again from tomorrow!
