Portmeirion Sunset

            We had a last-minute one night stay at Portmeirion, as a pre-Christmas treat, arriving there on Sunday lunchtime.  The afternoon was much better weather than forecast and we were treated to the most fantastic sunset I've seen in a long time, as the tide came in over the estuary.  Watching from a safe vantage point, near the lighthouse, it's amazing how quickly the tide comes in and easy to see how the unwary could get caught out on the sandbanks.

My other half, capturing the same sunset above.  A shot a few minutes later in the comment below - the sky got even more colourful as the sun sank down.
