Great Red Spot in Enhanced Synthetic Color (Infrared + Violet)

Enhanced synthetic color RGB image of Jupiter's Great Red Spot.

The image was created from the IR mosaic (R), the Violet mosaic (B) and a combination (33%; 66%) of the IR and Violet filtered images to make (G).

To enhance contrast, a blended [IR+Violet] (at 24% opacity multiply blend)mage was multiplied with the color image . An additional sharpening was done using a HiPass filtered image from the IR+Violet combination. Extensive contrast adjustement including color desaturation.
