Marokko , Casablanca, Hassan II-Moschee, 1-3/1605

Die Hassan-II.-Moschee ist die Hauptsehenswürdigkeit der Stadt. Sie ist nach der al-Haram-Moschee in Mekka, der Prophetenmoschee in Medina, dem Imam-Reza-Schrein (in dem die Goharshaad-Moschee integriert ist) in Mashhad, Iran, und der Istiqlal-Moschee in Jakarta, Indonesien, die fünftgrößte Moschee der Welt und bietet Platz für 25.000 Personen. Das Minarett der 1993 fertiggestellten Moschee ist mit 210 Metern Höhe das höchste Minarett und das höchste religiöse Bauwerk.
