            Germany, Krokosblüte in Zavelstein,
Weit bekannt ist Zavelstein durch seine Krokusblüte etwa ab Anfang März. Der wilde Krokus ist eigentlich im Mittelmeerraum beheimatet und findet sich nördlich der Alpen nur an wenigen Standorten, in Zavelstein als einzigem Ort Süddeutschlands. Ein extra dafür angelegter Krokusweg durch das Naturschutzgebiet bringt an sieben Standorten Wissenswertes über den Krokus näher.

Widely known is Zavelstein by its Krokusblüte from the beginning of March. The wild krokus is native to the Mediterranean and is found only a few locations north of the Alps, the only place in Southern Germany in Zavelstein.
