Wasteland Monocycle - a photo on Flickriver

The imagination is allowed to run wild when the world is powered by steam! From majestic airships, to multi-legged striders, vaporized H20 unleashes enough energy to move entire cities. In an exercise in efficiency, mono-wheeled vehicles can travel at surprising speeds across the desolate, dry landscapes that cover patches of the globe.

Heavily inspired by the world of Mortal Engines, this monowheel all started with the new roller coaster track. I loaded up on light-bluish gray segments and began prototyping what could be done with such cool, versatile parts. Once I found the right offset to allow for the coaster car to roll smoothly on the inside of two back-to-back circles, I knew what I had to do. It's even MOTORIZED!
