Rebuilt as Cargo aircraft DC-6BF, and based at Fairbanks, Alaska

After many years contacts have developed between Everts Air Cargo and Sola Air Museum as N151 for severeal years has been the last of the 7 ex Braathens SAFE DC-6Bs to stay ariworthy.

Agreement was made to have N151 flown to Stavanger in October 2019, but Everts Air Cargo needed the aircraft during the last winter due to other grounded DC-6s.
So a new agreement was made for flying N151 to Stavanger at the end of March 2020.

But this was before the Corona virus spread.....  And the Norwegian krone went down compared with the USD.

So finally agreement was made, and in the middle of May, Everts Air Cargo put N151 in the hangar for the transformation of the aircraft to the old Braathens SAFE colours, as LN-SUB

01-06-2020 N151 took off from Faribanks, and after ca 30 minutes had to return and go back due to a prblem with engine no 3.
After approx two hours it took off again and flew to Yellowknife in Canada, which was the final stop before an alomst 15 hours flight across the Atlantic and after a lowpass at Bergen, it came for a lowpass along rwy 18 at Sola, before tunring and arriving rwy 36, shown by these photos.
