150 Year Old New York - a photo on Flickriver

When a storm uprooted some of the largest trees in NYC Central Park, we were given a glimpse into the city's past.  This tree gave me two realizations:

1. I have been in NYC for 10 years, it has been here for over 150, wow I am young. 

2. The design of a tree has remained fairly consistent over the years, while architects cant reach any sensible consensus in the ever ending quest for improvement.
