The beginning of the end - a photo on Flickriver

            Cheltenham Coach station was opened in June 1931, to become a major coach interchange with it's famed co-ordinated mass departures. This status was more-or-less lost from 22 January 1984. The 1983 National Express timetable listed 598 desinations available from St Margarets, down to just 50 a year later. Complete closure came in 1988 with demolition two years later.

Black & White Leyland Leopard 495 leaves for Norwich two days before, on the 20th.
