A Luton RT - a photo on Flickriver

A Luton RT

            London Country's Luton garage RT3631 seen in Park Street West, laying over from route 360, a short journey to and from the village of Caddington, in January 1975.

The huge building in the background is Whitbread's Phoenix Brewery. This had closed in 1969 and was demolished in 1977. It had been replaced by the largest fully-automated brewery in Europe, elsewhere in Luton, although this only survived until 1984, a victim, in part, of poor industrial relations.

The 360 passed to United Counties in in September 1976, with RT3631 surviving until it's visit to the scrap-man in 1977
