It's fake Daddy

            Hi flickr friends, I am sorry if I have missed your shots over the last two weeks or so but I have tried to keep up as much as I could while travelling, although to be honest, I have been glad of the break to some degree. 

We have the rest of next week to go before we get home but I thought I would upload a couple of shots of some interest that I took today.

This first one shows some fairly significant silos that have defined this town for many years. You will note from the sign that they are currently run by Bega, a company that promotes its Australian roots with iconic products like Vegemite and Bega Peanut Paste. Now I will leave you to make up your own mind but these silos which are usually full of peanuts grown in the Kingaroy, Queensland region which is Australia's centre of peanut production are apparently full of peanuts from Argentina! That's South America! OK.....now why would that be? You may wonder! 

A little birdie told us that they may be difficult to get rid of which has created a bit of a headache for the company. Luckily, there is another peanut facility in town and it seems to be going well based on its Australian ownership and use of the local product.
