Oh dear! The Invader! - a photo on Flickriver

            We were having breakfast this morning (Monday) when suddenly screeching arose from outside, from the Galahs of course while they were waiting for us to open up.

We knew what it was, Mrs (nocturnal...NOT) Brushtail Possum was once again out munching away on the top of our neighbour's tree, oblivious to the racket and drama she was causing behind her. Of course the Galahs don't understand that there is no way she can reach them, after all, she looks pretty much like a big cat who could chomp them for breakfast. If you are a native animal or bird, you really are fair game to all the neighbourhood cats. So I don't blame the birds for being wary.

Hard to get a decent shot, Mrs Possum was moving in and out of the branches of the tree, in light and shade, while the birds were at the outer end of the telephoto lens, quite away behind.
