Like buns in an oven! - a photo on Flickriver

            Can you imagine, it's Australia Day 2021 and the local country folk from this valley in the shadow of the Great Dividing Range between Gatton and Clifton in southern Queensland are gathered to celebrate, and perhaps some to commiserate. It's a very, very hot day but inside this corrugated metal roof, the people, their lamingtons and vanilla slices, XXXX beer and Bundy Ginger beer will all be warming to the celebration. 

Personally, I am glad I am not inside, I am sweating just looking at the shot!

Fordsdale School of Arts, Gatton to Clifton Road, Queensland. The building lives all alone, nothing around it at all.

P.S. This is a bit of an unknown road but a lovely drive up into and over the range to Clifton. Some interesting places along the way and at the right time of year, straight to fields of sunflowers. Another way of getting from Brisbane to Warwick - that makes perhaps five, one fast and four quite slow!
