Old Sautee Store, Sautee Nacoochee, Georgia

Their website says the Old Sautee Store first opened in 1872. Nacoochee is up in the North Georgia mountains just down the road from Helen. What's really neat about Old Sautee is that the front room is staged to resemble a late nineteenth/early twentieth century dry goods kinda store, maybe an apothecary. A wall of shelves includes a multitude of original boxes and bottles of products (all nice and dusty) available way back when. There is also a display counter, an old cash register, a scale, and plenty of other items that contribute to the overall clutter and general authenticity. The Old Sautee Store is actually a store and a restaurant. The store is in a back room of the building pictured while the restaurant is to the left of this picture in a separate structure. sauteestore.com/
