MIssabe moon - a photo on Flickriver

MIssabe moon

            If you look closely you can see the moon hanging above this all-rail train of C&NW ore empties at Ambridge, Wis. Even though this train has Missabe power, it's technically a Wisconsin Central train, bringing the empties to Steelton, Minn., where the train will be handed off to the DM&IR for the trip to the Minorca plant at Virginia, Minn. These trains operated between Minorca and Escanaba even into the CN era. The date was Jan. 30, 1996.
