Mausoleum at Shah i Zinda, Samarkand, Uzbekistan

Shah-i-Zinda ((meaning "The living king") in Samarkand belongs to the most famous cemeteries of Central Asia. Most mausolea at this cemetery were built between the 9th and the 19th century.

This is the mausoleum of Mausoleum of Tuman Aka, Tamerlane's wife. (taken from the mausoleum opposite)

The Tuman-Aka mausoleum and mosque (with attached khaneqah) were built in 1405 as a memorial to the youngest wife of Tamerlane.
