_J5A5232 Indian roller - a photo on Flickriver

            Thavorn Beach, Phuket.
I  saw the roller fly into the trees that lined the beach so I followed hoping I'd find it on a low branch. It wasn't but it had caught a small snake - a golden tree snake.
The bird spent the next 10 minutes bashing the daylights out of the poor snake. It flew off to consume it elsewhere.
The snake was quite easy to identify due to the markings on it's head, It reported as being mildly venomous.
