            The Transport Museum, Wythall near Birmingham was the venue for a visit last week by Redditch U3A History Group.

The buses, the volunteers and the U3A members were all roughly the same age. All our yesterdays indeed! More tomorrow.

The Transport Museum, Wythall has three halls which accommodate one of the most significant collections of preserved buses in the country. It has the largest collection of preserved Midland Red buses and can probably make the same claim for Birmingham City Transport. The Museum also has a fine collection of restored battery electric vehicles The museum features exhibits related to: land transport. Key themes, people and exhibits in the museum include: birmingham city transport buses, battery-electric vehicles, midland red buses and bus museum.
