Towards the altar, Gloucester Cathedral

            It was a drear and rainy day. the day we went to Gloucester - the wettest day in the UK for 8 years apparently. The cathedral was about our only photographic option. The good news is that for a £3.00 permit you can take as many shots as you like. The bad is that they will need to be at least 1600 ISO, and mostly 3200 ISO. I think this would still be true on a good day. Using my increasingly venerable Canon 600D this means noisy images, specially if you are using HDR to capture some detail. My idea to combat this problem was to go for overall impact, so I took just my Sigma 10-20, which does not get many outings these days.
