Unmistakable Face - a photo on Flickriver

Unmistakable Face

            A portrait of a locomotive model that could never be confused with any other. With styling by GM-Detroit and decked out with EsPee's light package, GP30 5002 idles away on the point of a westbound at Pomona, CA. This is a  somewhat unique locomotive  in another way. It is SSW 5002, not SP 5002. It was, IIRC, the only Cotton Belt locomtive, aside from Bi-centennial painted SD45T-2, 9389, adorned with the "SP" nose lettering. All other SSW locos wore only the road number on the nose.
