TIME FLIES - a photo on Flickriver

TIME FLIES

            I've been going through a bunch of older images recently, and I realized that my perception of when I took photos shot between 2015 and 2020 is off by two years.  I shot this image in February 2017, but it feels like I shot it three years ago.  Shots I thought I took in 2016 were actually taken in 2014.  I'm in my mid-40s so aging is likely playing some factor in this, but compared to how busy my pre-pandemic years were photography-wise, I think it's more a matter of not having all those other shoots that would have happened in between now and when I took these older photos - almost two years worth of shooting.  

Just a weird thing to realize.  I've tried to keep my optimism throughout the pandemic and have never tied my mental health to my ability to get out and shoot like some others have, but that was kind of a bummer realizing why my perception of the time that has passed since these shoots is off.
